Shipping and Refund Policy

 

General

Once your order has been processed, we will post with your desired shipping method and email you to let you know its on its way.

Please note that we only offer tracked delivery to give us and you the added piece of mind. This is a little more expensive but means you get email or text notifications and it is much less likely to get lost!

To coincide with our ‘transparent pricing’ ethos we charge you the exact cost that Royal Mail charges us, because we think thats just fair!

However, we do sometimes offer free delivery for in-person shoppers or orders over a certain amount as a little thank you, but this will always be tracked and just as safe as paid-for delivery!

UK Shipping

UK Shipping is always tracked, and sent via Royal Mail. Delivery takes 48hrs and the tracking service provides you with updates via text and/or email.

International Shipping

International Shipping is offered either tracked or standard, both are through Royal Mail. Both services aim for delivery within 3-5 working days(Europe) and 5-7 working days(rest of the World). However, ‘tracked’ offers up to £50 compensation and complete tracking ability whereas ‘standard’ does not.

If your country isn’t on the drop down list please message/email us in advance of your order with your select shipping country so we can add the option to our site. Please also note that depending on your country you may be subject to custom tax. Please note as we are a very small business we cannot swallow these costs and so they may be charged to you after we process your order, thank you for understanding.

Please note if you select non-tracked we cannot be held responsible if it gets lost and cannot issue a refund.

For all international orders please allow an extra week on top of our usual processing times as they can take a bit longer to get to you.

Additional Information

To coincide with our climate conscious aims, all our packaging and inserts are made from materials that are recyclable and/or biodegradable to reduce the waste impact on the environment.  We also use Royal Mail as our delivery service to save the need for a courier (which would mean an extra vehicle on the roads).

All of our products are individually checked by hand, so we are confident with the quality, before being packed and posted. However, if you have any concerns or believe your item to have been damaged in transit, please contact us immediately so that we can investigate and rectify the issue as soon as we can.

Although we do our best to ship items as quickly as possible within the time frames noted above, on some occasions due to circumstances out with our control, there may be a delay in shipment.

 If this happens with your order Alt-Ruin Clothing will be happy to either refund your shipping cost and ensure you receive your order at the earliest opportunity or to refund the order in full if the item fails to be delivered.

We will always do our best to quickly resolve any issues that may arise, and are happy to offer a full refund if we believe that the quality of service provided by Alt-Ruin Clothing was not adequate. 

 

 

Returns / Refunds

We accept that sometimes the sizing or product may not be exactly as expected and so are happy to accept returns within 14 days of arrival, to do so you must contact us at altruin.clothing@outlook.com.

To avoid the need for a return or replacement we recommend emailing us with any questions in relation to sizing or visiting us at our next market to see our products “in the flesh”.

The product must be returned to us in its original condition, unworn and in original (or equally suitable) packaging. You are responsible for the postage costs to return the item. All goods will be inspected on return. We will process the refund once the item has been checked. Refunds usually take 3- 7 working days to process.  

There are limited conditions in which we may offer a refund without a return, these include but are not limited to:

·      If the item is out of stock or unavailable but the payment has already been processed.

·      If the item is damaged in transit.  – please email a photograph of the packaging and garment to altruin.clothing@outlook.com within 24hrs of receipt of the item. So that we can investigate the damage and arrange a replacement or refund.

·      If the item is lost and you do not wish for a replacement to be sent out.
